What Should I Bring?

It's confusing and it depends on the hike, but deciding what to bring and what to leave behind is a balancing act: too much means too heavy; too little and a change in weather can mean an emergency instead of a stop to get a wind breaker on.

Check out the resources on this page, and plan your next trip! See what others carry. Ask your friends who have experience, but be sure to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors.
